Shamefully, the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance Trust receives no funds from either local or national government, so relies entirely on voluntary donations to help keep it flying mercy missions seven days per week, 365 days per year. The average number of flights is almost three per day - around 1,000 per year, which makes it one of the busiest Air Ambulance services in the UK.
