21/10/2017 to 30/11/2017 BASILDON PARK REIMAGINING INDIA EXHIBITION

The Garden room, one of the more intriguing rooms at Basildon Park, is being reinterpreted and re-presented this autumn with an exhibition titled Reimagining India. Inspired by Lady Iliffe's incomplete decorative scheme she had for this room, the exhibition in the Garden Room will focus on the connections Basildon Park has had with India over the past 240 years. Working with partners from our local community to co-curate the exhibition, we'll focus on the cultural achievements and personal stories that have shaped British-Indian links from Sykes's time through until today. Booking Not Needed.
