16/02/2019 THAMES VALLEY FARMERS MARKET (READING)

Reading Farmers’ Market is a friendly, twice-a-month event, showcasing fantastic local food and drink. Many of our traders and customers have been attending the market since it started in 1999 and there is a strong community feel. Everything is sold direct from our local farmers, bakers, conservers and brewers, have a chat and discover the story behind the produce! The market is held undercover, in the auction house at the Cattle Market. There is cheap parking (on street, or in the Cattle Market car park next door - 50p for 1hr, £2.60 for 2 hrs) and it’s a short walk to town. The producers below typically attend the market, but attendance does vary, due to seasonality of produce. Sign up to our weekly newsletter, or follow our Facebook or Twitter pages, for regular updates on who will be attending.
The Cattle Market, Great Knollys Street, Reading RG1 7HD

17/02/2019 THAMES VALLEY FARMERS' MARKET (NEWBURY)

Newbury Farmers' Market runs twice a month on the first and third Sunday. Originally set up by the Council to give local farmers and producers an opportunity to sell their produce direct to the public, most will have been grown or processed within 30 miles of West Berkshire. The Farmers' Market supports the local economy, providing healthy fresh food and reducing food miles - the distance food has travelled from where it is produced. In addition, the market provides an opportunity to find out more about issues such as Genetically Modified foods, land management and organic farming.
